Heineken International owns a 40% share of Tempo,[3] which has its main office in Nathania.[4]

Tempo's main brands are Macabee, Goldstar, and Nesher. Maccabee is a 4.9% abv pale lager first brewed in 1968. It is distributed in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza Strip, and is also marketed in the USA and Europe.

Goldstar (Hebrew: גולדסטאר‎) is also a 4.9% pale lager which has been produced since the 1950s. It is marketed as a "Dark Lager Beer", though is pale golden in appearance. [5] The Hebrew term for malt is בירה שחורה, or "Black Beer." In January 2007, Tempo introduced the 4% Goldstar Light with a commercial starring Moshe Datz, from the Israeli duet Duo Datz. The beer is certified kosher by the Chief Rabbinate of Netanya, Israel.

Nesher Malt was the first commercial beer to be brewed in the modern State of Israel - it has been brewed since 1935. It is a non-alcoholic beer.

[edit] Soft drinks

Tempo produces juice-based drinks under the Jump brand, and Nesher, a non-alcoholic malt drink. It is also the local bottler of PepsiCo drinks.

[edit] Barkan Wine Cellars

In September 2004, Tempo acquired a 39% controlling interest in Barkan Wine Cellars, Israel's second largest winery, which also produces boutique Segal Wines, Keglevich vodka, and Stock 84 brandy.
