Temba Tsheri

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Temba Tsheri is a Sherpa from Nepal. On May 23, 2001, at the age of 16 years 14 days[1], he became the youngest ever person to climb Mount Everest. Although there is some dispute over his age upon reaching the summit, it is widely accepted that he is the youngest person to have climbed the mountain.

Temba Tsheri climbed Mount Everest's North Ridge together with a French group.

Tsheri lost five fingers to frostbite during the climb.
