[edit] Softball check, anyone?
I checked the website at [1], but couldn't find her name in the list of inductees for either 1978, 1979 or 1980. Some other softball hall of fame, perhaps? --Alvestrand (talk) 22:54, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
I verified this fact with Carlton Benton at ASA - The National Governing Body of Softball. Temple Hayes has a certificate verifying this in her office. http://www.asasoftball.com/ ALSO, I edited the first paragraph to change the tone. - I see that the intro has been changed from saying that she was "inducted" in the Hall of Fame to saying that she was "nominated" (without specifying for what she was nominated). Still, I don't see a verifiable source for this. Also, the whole tone of the article seems odd for an encyclopedia article - such statements as "As a child, she was deep, asking philosophical questions and wanting to know why and how. What she found early on in life was that people weren't always comfortable with the questions." isn't really a verifiable fact - it's someone making prose to make the subject look good. --Alvestrand (talk) 06:09, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
