[edit] Hospitals

Should we start a section on health care, considering S&W is nationally recognized, A&M has a school of medicine and the VA? I'm sure there could be enough to fill it out. Joe I 04:30, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

Yes, that sounds like a good idea. --CMBJ 21:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Electric rail

There needs to be a detailed explanation of the (now defunct) electric rail system in downtown Temple. --CMBJ 21:45, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] King of the Hill

As a long time fan of King of the Hill, I really don't see any clear evidence that Arlen is actually based on Temple. Yes, on maps, it occasionally appears to be close to the location of Temple, but there is a lot of evidence that also points to Arlen not being an actual location. The Hills' mail shows zip codes in Austin and Beeville, the distance to major cities sometimes varies from episode to episode, the population seems to be quite a bit smaller than Temple's actual population. In short, I think that it's very hard to present evidence that Temple is actually the basis for Arlen and as such, I don't think this info should be included in the Temple, TX wikipedia entry.

[edit] Bill Engvall

Bill Engvall is from Georgetown, I am about 99% sure. But I am not confident enough in this fact to delete him from the famous people list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.178.72.160 (talk) 03:22, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

    • Bill Engvall was born in Galveston, TX. JW in TX 20:02, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
    • Sorry, I thought Engvall was from Temple. His father was an anesthesiologist at Scott & White. Maybe Temple doesn't want to claim him if Temple provided the inspiration for so many "Here's your sign" jokes. (Honey? Honey?!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.231.31.249 (talk) 22:39, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notables

The URL source for "Bryan Burroughs" does not list his hometown. This needs to be fixed or removed. Jaime Alan Canava and Priscilla Garza do not appear to be "notable" people. They will be removed if nobody can source this. JW in TX 02:28, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Is "Dimples from down in Temple" one of the Exes who live in Texas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.178.168.179 (talk) 04:49, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
