Teltschik

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A German family with an historic homestead in the Sudetenland of what is now the Czech Republic, the Teltschik Family dates back to 1301 in Zauchtel, where they held an hereditary judgeship for nearly six hundred years.

As a celebration of 700 years of family history, the Teltschik Tower was erected in 2001 near Wilhelmsfeld, Germany. Additionally, there is a memorial at the Masonic Cemetery in Weimar, Texas commemorating the immigration of three Teltschik brothers to the United States in the latter part of the nineteenth centry, of which Alfred Teltschik (below) was a descendant.
