The Telequartz Group of Mining Companies, is the largest and longest-established in the production and exportation of quartz area and is situated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Known as the most qualified mining company for its experience and operational structure as well as processing and exporting of rock crystals, Telequartz is world's largest exporter of quartz. The Group was founded in 1926, by João Cosac, a pioneer in the promoting Brazilian minerals, and worked with various types of minerals, owning mines in three different Brazilian states: Bahia, Minas Gerais and Goiás. Some of their clients are Samsung, Swarovski and Concord. Telequartz has rocks from their mines displayed in places such as the British Museum in London. Silica Sand mining company, part of the group, have an agreement with Companhia Vale do Rio Doce for producing 10.000 tons of ferrosilica by year. The group also own a power plant in Brazil and financed X-tal do Brasil factory, the first to produce artificial quartz in Latin America, making oscillators and high quality optic fiber.
