"aa" represents the area code. It is not entered when dialing a local area number, except when using a mobile phone. Area codes of cities in Sri Lanka are:

  5: Lanka Bell
  7: Dialog Telekom

"n" represents the telephone number, consisting of six digits.

"oo" represents the operator number in mobile connections, opposed to the area code in fixed line telephones. Mobile phone service providers in Sri Lanka, and their operator numbers are:

  71: Mobitel
  72: Tigo
  77: Dialog GSM
  78: Hutch

"n" represents the mobile number. The first digit in the number is used by operators to separate customers in to zones.

Mobile phone users must always enter area codes when dialing a fixed line.

"00" is the international dialing code in Sri Lankan telecommunications.

"c" represents the country code.

"n" represents the telephone number, which includes the area code, and may be of any length according to the country dialed to.

"00" is the general international dialing code. It may vary among different countries.

"94" is the Sri Lankan dialing code.

"a" represents the area code, or mobile operator when contacting a mobile number.

"o" represents the operator number in fixed line numbers. In mobile numbers, this is a part of the main number.

"n" represent the main telephone number of six digits.
