This has a big overlap with Kinescope. Suggest merging some of the info from that article but keeping the two separate as Kinescope was the preferred usage in America and Telerecording in the UK. Lee M 18:29, 9 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Would it be a good idea to give some examples of telerecorded shows that are still broadcasted today, or available on video? Though there doesn't seem to be a lot shown any more, the earlier pre-colour episodes of Steptoe & Son are still regularly shown on UK Gold, and Hancock's Half Hour is still occasionally shown on BBC2.
