Talk:Telephone numbers in France
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
the "country code" for france is "33" - However, what are the "area codes" called - for example "02" for Paris? is it called "Provincial code"?
I think that information should be added as well - if anyone knows it.
- Well... I suppose it could be called "code régional", but since it corresponds to no administrative or historical entity, there isn't really any accurate name that can be used. And since the whole number always has to be dialed (02 is for the west, by the way, 01 is for Paris) there is no real need to have a word for just a part of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.57.168.140 (talk) 21:00, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
