[edit] About Me
I'm Ramshankar Venkataraman, born December 22, 1983, a software engineer residing in Chennai, India.
I did my junior schooling in Vidya Mandir and my senior secondary schooling in P.S. Senior Secondary School. I completed my Masters in Software Engineering in the year 2006 from the Sathyabama Deemed University.
[edit] Career
Since the year 2001 I have been actively involved in writing open source and closed source software for the BeOS. One of my major projects for the BeOS was Beezer: a GUI based file archiver and was the first GUI archiver to support 7zip and passwords on BeOS. Beezer was subsequently licensed by yellowTAB for including as part of the ZETA CD for commercial distribution. Beezer till date has remained closed source. My open source contributions to BeOS includes a string extension library, disk clean-up utilities and several others. My university and school projects included Microsoft Windows applications written in Visual C++ and FoxPro.
I was hired by Magnussoft on June, 2006 for working on the ZETA OS. During this time, I was responsible for projects such as MakeMe, AudioTagger, WilmaCon, Amiga Game Launcher, PeopleEditor and several others.
Around March, 2006 I terminated my agreement with Magnussoft. And soon after, on July I started work from home for another German software company. I'm currently working for them.
