Tejgaon is located at 23.7583° N 90.3917° E . It has 37644 units of house hold and total area 8.75 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Tejgaon has a population of 220012. Males constitute are 58.86% of the population, and females 41.14%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 137475. Tejgaon has an average literacy rate of 68% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
