Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland is a 1989 film written by Fritz Gordon and directed by Michael A. Simpson. It stars Pamela Springsteen, Tracy Griffith, Michael J. Pollard, Mark Oliver, and Haynes Brooke. It is part of the Sleepaway Camp series of films.

[edit] Plot Summary
A year after the events of Part II finds Angela Baker masquerading as a New Yorker at the same summer camp at which she slaughtered an entire camp only a year ago. She takes the identity of another camper after she runs her over with a garbage truck. Angela systematically kills most of the campers; two survive. It is unknown whether Angela survives at the end of the film.

- The stick that Angela uses to kill is the same one used in the Part II.
- The Hockey Mask that Angela fishes up is the same mask from Part II.
- This film was filmed immediately after Part II.
- The campgrounds in this film are the same grounds from Part II, but under new management.
- Every kill was heavily edited to ensure an R-rating and can be viewed in its uncut form on the Sleepaway Camp DVD box set.
- An alternate death sequence was filmed for the character of Arab. In the alternate death sequence, Angela crushes Arab's head with a boat oar. There is a closeup of her skull exploding and brain matter spraying all over the camera. The footage was never released on DVD but can be found on the Sleepaway Camp website.
- Most of the characters are named after characters from West Side Story.
