Ted Pennings was born October 3, 1986, to Charlene and Ed Pennings. Fastforward almost twenty years and Ted is a Master's student at The University of Chicago, where he studies art history. His research focuses on modernism, contemporary art and class struggle.

He is happily an alumnus of the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a BA in philosophy.
