The first known usage of the phrase "Trust Your Techno lust" in film was the movie Hackers (film). It showed up in the background of the ending hack scene, pasted onto numerous phone booths.

At the end most of the Hak.5 Episodes Darren and Wess say to "Trust Your Technolust". It was originally used as two words at the end of episode 1, after the credits. From then on, "Techno lust" was shortened to one word for the rest of the episodes. This was in fact, a mistake in the editing. [1]

"Technolust" was also the name of a popular gaming server for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a first person shooter computer game set in World War II. The Technolust gaming community, which also went by the name "orators," was a popular gaming center for many Enemy Territory players with members worldwide. The servers and forums [2] can still be found today.
