Tibetan athletes in exile are forced to live as refugees around the world. They want to be represented along with other nations at the Beijing Games on August 8, 2008.
Tibet-in-exile is possibly the only one of all the world's oppressed and displaced peoples, who are trying to contest the opression by peaceful means rather than violent ones. Team Tibet is one of many activities going on around the world which is trying to solve major problems in this way. Events, organisations, and programs such as this are part of Tibet's 1200-plus year history.
