Taylors Lakes Football Club was formed in 1989. Initially a junior club, Taylors Lakes began with fielding under 10 and under 12 teams.
Located in a housing estate on the north western suburban fringe of Melbourne, the areas exponential population growth in the early 1990s lead to a similar growth in the football club. By 1993 it was fielding in every age group in Essendon District Football League, including the B Division seniors.
Over the years Taylors Lakes has won many junior premierships, but despite playing in a number of senior finals series, it has yet to claim a senior flag.
