[edit] The family motto

Someone changed the "A flots me rie" to "Des flots me rie"; I changed it back. I'm thinking that they were thinking that the "A" is not correct French, and I'm thinking that the motto of a Swiss family is not so much correct French as correct dialect. Is it so?
