The land is owned by the council, not MIT, and I think the Taupo car club fits in some how. There has been a lot of controversy over this park. I think we need to give more of a background. (and as I'm opposed to the millions poured in from the govt and the ratepayers, I not very npov :) Brian | (Talk) 07:28, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

The track was reopened in 2006 after major redevelopments, it is much older then 2 years. Nzv8fan 07:11, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
