Taraji Mustafa

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Taraji Mustafa (Arabic:تراجي مصطفى) (born ?) is a Sudanese-Canadian human rights activist who recently founded the first Sudanese-Israeli friendship organization. Many Sudanese intellectuals joined her organization within days of its creation. Mustafa hopes that the organization will build bridges between Sudanese and Israelis, and hopes to eventually open a branch within Israel. She has also been noted for her attacks on the Arab media, saying it is racist and promotes stereotypes of Africans and Jews alike.

[edit] Origins of her organization

After moving to Canada in ?, she realized that the anti-Israel policies of the Sudanese government (specifically the fact that Sudanese passport-holders are not permitted to travel to Israel) were unnecessary and hateful. She founded the organization due to her belief that the Sudanese people have no reason to have anything against Jews in general, and no reason to be refused the right to travel to Jerusalem and interact with Israelis first-hand.
