I removed the "culture" section, which, because it dealt solely with Jewish culture, gives the impression that this is the dominant (or "only") culture in Tarrytown. I'm putting the section here, because in the context of a full fleshed-out section, it would be perfectly appropriate and can be moved back.
Culture Tarrytown has a large Jewish community, which encompasses all major denominations. Temple Beth Abraham, located on Leroy Avenue, services both the Reform and Conservative community. The newly renovated DoubleTree Inn now features a Kosher kitchen, and offers an Orthodox Shabbat minyan when necessary. The hotel is currently constructing a mikvah, which would the only Jewish ritual baths in the Rivertowns region. The hotel has, since its opening, catered (not exclusively) to Orthodox Jews. The hotel is strategically located as a midway point of Jewish communities in New York City (Riverdale, Manhattan, etc.), Rockland County (Monsey, etc.) and even as far north as Orange County (Monticello, etc.)

I've added the "culture" section as a "religion" section and have added information on Tarrytown's numerous Christian churches. The info for all of this can be found @ http://tarrytown.areaconnect.com/churches.htm
Also, Ed Fitzgerald, looking through your previous contributions, it seems you have a thing for removing information about Jewish communities, almost to the point that you do not want information on them on wikipedia. If the information added is factual, then it is not at your discretion to remove it just because you feel Tarrytown's Jewish community is being portrayed as the "dominant" culture (even the use of the word dominant is suspicious). If you want to show the other cultures in Tarrytown, add it, but do not remove the information about the Jewish community. It has been proven by fact, and it is not that author's burden to represent all cultures at once. - That's a very serious charge, which happens to be totally untrue.
In a previous disagreement, my concern was that the name of the category being used ("Orthodox Jewish communities") gave the impression that the communities being labelled were exclusively Orthodox Jewish, which was not the case. I suggested that the name of the category be changed to something less ambiguous, and when no one jumped to do it, I changed the name of the category myself to something which was more accurately descriptive ("Places with Orthodox Jewish communities") and then went and changed the category on every single article the other category had been in -- by hand. That hardly seems like the actions of someone who's operating out of religious prejudice, as opposed to someone who's merely concerned about the accuracy of Wikipedia.
In this instance, the question was not whether the material was factual -- I assumed that it was, which is why I moved it here instead of simply deleting it. The problem (which you've now solved, which I applaud) was that the existence of that material alone in that section, without anything else around it to provide context, was creating a false impression, and Wikipedia articles really shouldn't do that -- it's just another way of being unfactual.
Thank you for fixing the problem, which I appreciate. I don't, however, appreciate having those kinds of allegations slung at me, nor do I imagine anybody else does, so you might want to do a little more investigating next time. Ed Fitzgerald (unfutz) (talk / cont) 19:22, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

- Incidentally, although longetivity is not everything, I've been around Wikipedia long enough to decide for myself what the community standards of behavior are. I don't find it particularly enlightening to be lectured by someone whose User ID was created 2 days ago -- which means you're either a terribly presumptuous newbie, or an experienced user who's created this ID for the express purpose of coming here and calling me an anti-Semite. - Now, I'm going to warn you about an edit I'm about to do. Because the Jewish community in Tarrytown is a minority one, and the Christian population is larger, I'm going to change the order of the paragraphs in your new section so that the one dealing with the Christian churches is first. I don't do this because I prefer the Christians and dislike the Jews (I'm an atheist, take it as you wish), but because that's what makes sense for the circumstance. If I was editing the article of a place with a predominant Jewish population, and someone had a section on Christians first, I'd make the change there as well. Is that clear? (Perhaps you'd like to follow me over to the article on the continental United States and make charges there that I'm prejudiced against Alaskans?)
