A TAP transporter is a protein.

The transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP Transporter) is a transport protein found in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. It is responsible for transporting small peptides from the cytoplasm into the ER where they can associate with MHC Class I molecules. These loaded MHC Class I molecules then travel to the surface of the cell to provide a "snapshot" of what is happening inside the cell.
