[edit] Setting
The game uses an alternative timeline where World War I has not ended. In the alternate 1949 the Great War has been raging for the last 35 years. Players take control of the two major forces; The Union (US and Britain) and The Reich (Germany). According to the story, The Reich has recovered an object of great power from an archeological dig, which has revealed one of cardinal cornerstones of reality. With the cornerstone the Reich can open a portal to hell. The cornerstone is located under a fort in central Europe and the Reich's elite 13th Occult Division of the Obscura Corps. The Union players must attempt to prevent The Reich players from completing their objectives and vice versa. The operation the Union players execute is known as Operation Tannhäuser.
[edit] Game mechanics
The game uses character statistics, similar to a role-playing game and uses dice to determine the outcome of character actions such as using firearms or searching crates.
The game uses an original mechanic named pathfinding. Each area on the board which characters can move between are color-coded. Circles that share colors and are on the same path have line of sight to one another.
[edit] Expansion sets
- Additional character Wolfgang Otto Ludwig Friedrich, alias "Wolf"- a mercenary character playable on both sides.
- Additional character Yula Korlïtz a character loyal to The Reich faction.
- An expansion is announced titled Operation Novgorod, with a Russian setting. The expansion will feature 1 new gameboard (printed on both sides), 5 new characters with new abilities.
