Tangestan County

Tangestan County (Persian: شهرستان تنگستان) is a county in Bushehr Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Ahram-e-Tangestan. Tangestan region in southern Iran is well known for its resistance against the invasion of the British forces in late 19th century. Tangestan County is the home of group of people known as Tangesier. Reis Ali Delvari the commander of Tangesier fighters is known as a national hero in the region.

Tangestan is also famous for its high quality dates in Iran.
