[edit] Derived from Psyche-Paths

Does anyone know if this game was developed from Psyche-Paths (1969)? Or are the similarities a coincidence?

Remarkably similar - though Psyche-Paths differs in that there's only three colors, and it's possible to have two or even all three paths be the same color on one tile. I would imagine there are considerably more pieces involved, assuming that every possible permutation exists. As to whether the developer of Tantrix was aware of the prior existence of Psyche-Paths or came up with the idea independantly, well, you'd have to ask him I guess. (The concept is basic enough that it's not out of the question for two people to come up with it on their own.) Lurlock (talk) 19:24, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
