Tamarite de Litera (Catalan: Tamarit de Llitera, Aragonese: Tamarit de Litera) is the second major town of the comarca of La Litera in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain.
It was reconquered from the Moors by Alfonso I of Aragon in 1107.
The local dialect is a variant of Catalan, called Tamaritá (spanish: Tamaritano) by locals.
