[edit] Abasova, or Abassova?
Google seems to strongly prefer (at the level of a "do you mean?" hint) the latter. Do we have some strong reason for believing the former to be "correct", or better yet, the more commonly used? Is there a specific issue of transliteration systematics involved? Alai (talk) 23:20, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Incidentally, the closest thing we have to an English-language reference in the article (the second 'external link', http://www.databaseolympics.com/players/playerpage.htm?ilkid=ABASSTAM01) uses "Abassova". Alai (talk) 23:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Probably transliteration. Cyclingwebsite has double-s, interwiki to fr: is double-s. Double-s seems a better option. SeveroTC 00:58, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
