The list of vessels is in some kind of order. Should the list of vessels be in alphabetical order by their name, with prefixes like HMS and USS not considered part of their name? I think so. -- Geo Swan 19:53, 2005 Mar 6 (UTC)

I'm tempted to remove the thing about the American Sail Training Association. Any vessel likely to participate in this kind of race is going to be over 30ftLWL, so their definition of a "tall ship" essentially depends on who is sailing it, and applies to more or less any kind of vessel. This is manifestly incorrect and could confuse readers about what a tall ship is. PeteVerdon

Why remove it? Agreed, their definition is really watered down, but it is a fact. They consider it correct, and that other people may find it ludicrous is rather irrelevant, I think. At the very least mentioning their view may help people who only know this ASTA definition to get the wider picture without going "whoa, the ASTA says so-and-so, let's keerect this article!". There are links in this page to numerous other Tal lShip charities all of whom offer voyages at heavily subsidised prices to disadvantaged people American Sail Training Association, Cutty Sark Tall Ships' Race, Tall Ships Challenge, Jubilee Sailing Trust why do you want to discriminate against us. either organisations like ours can have links or not. Several organisations like us have links on this page. Hi DGG, I am a Wiki beginner and put a link to our charity site on this page on 18:20, 27 December 2006 adding to many other similar useful links to other charities in the Tall Ships field. on 19:14, 31 October 2007 Inwind created separate article for list of tall ships and at this time reference to our charity was deleted but many references and links to similar organisations were left in. On putting our link back in a seem to have triggered a response of editors looking for changes such as Jauerback who have never even considered the merits of our link relative to others. This approach seems radom and without effort. Can you give me some guidance on how these issues are properly resolved? Why do you decide to remove only my link and yet at the same time express disquiet about other links? Thank You for helping me 86.3.88.198 22:30, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
