Take a Friend is the third song on Rush's album Rush. It is 4 minutes and 24 seconds long and in 4/4 time. It was written by singer/bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson. This song seems to be sung about someone who needs to find a friend or needs to find "someone who will stick with him to the end" because he presumably has none. Rush has never performed Take A Friend live.
