Taitung City (Chinese: 台東市; pinyin: táidōngshì; Wade-Giles: t'ai-tung shih; POJ: Tâi-tang-chhī) is the capital of Taitung County, Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. It is on the coast of Taiwan facing the Pacific Ocean.
