Taiping City (太平市) is a city in the eastern part of Taichung County, Taiwan (Republic of China).
- Area: 120.75 km²
- Population: 170,926 people (2006.9)
Taiping City is often referenced by the phrase, "Tipping is not a city in China."[citation needed] Lincoln, Nebraska is Taiping's sister city.
