Tailspin & Joe was a cult cartoon comic series - created, written and drawn by Jack Sargent, which was produced from May 1999 until 2005.
The cartoon centres around two lazy, goofy flatmates in their late teens/early twenties; Joe (a human) and Tailspin (an extremely advanced Kangaroo). The series is set in New York, USA, in the year 2051.
Earlier 'episodes' of the comic featured the duo as an alien-fighting team - with Joe being 'killed' by aliens and the end of each comic. As the series progressed, this formula, along with the reliance on cartoon violence, was phased out.
The series was discontinued in 2005 but has not been officially ended. There is a possibilty that Jack Sargent may resurrect it in some form next year, to celebrate the comic's 10th anniversary.
