Tahara plant

Tahara plant is an automobile plant in Tahara, Aichi, Japan of Toyota Motor Corporation. It is a highly computerized and robotized plant and produces the Lexus brand of vehicles. It has a recognition as the world's most advanced and robotized plant and has won award for its quality of products and attention to meticulous details. It was awarded with an award from JD Power and Associates.
When employees enter the factory floor, they have to go through an air shower so that dust is removed from the employees. Also the employees look around 4000 details for each car produces. The plant creates a Lexus in every 87 seconds or 675 Lexuses per day. Workers are required to do exercise and other physical activity such as holding and rolling golf balls in their palms to maintain the quality of the product. [1]
