User talk:Taggard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, I've just returned from a ~6 month wikibreak and I'd like to start off with a clean slate, as if I'm a new user almost. I've archived my old talk page at /Archive1. Please leave any messages below the line.

[edit] Good job

Good job --dionyziz (talk) 17:27, 18 February 2008 (UTC).

Aww shucks, it's just a little creative usage of history URLs. — Taggard (Talk) 17:30, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Usernames

In the future, report bad usernames to Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention rather than at AIV. -Jéské (Blah v^_^v) 20:58, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Removing comments from talk pages

Hi Taggard,

I noticed you watching the talk page of a recently blocked user. Just thought I'd point you to WP:DRC. I don't agree with it, but users can blank their own talk pages if they want. I guess it's been kind of a rule for a while. I don't want you to get in trouble, more or less. joshschr (Talk | contribs) 22:15, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Ah, thanks. — Taggard (Talk) 22:19, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
No problem. The IP would have thrown it back in your face when the block is over, and I'd hate to give them any ammo. Happy editing. joshschr (Talk | contribs) 22:20, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
yes, pay attention to the rules next time. thanks in advance. 12.39.2.83 (talk) 21:30, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:(at).svg.

Hi Taggard, nice to see you back. :) Just wanted to suggest using Image:(at).svg instead of "@" where you list your e-mail (or, alternatively, write "(at)"); spambots run amok. ;) · AndonicO Hail! 21:57, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Eddie's Hello

A tag has been placed on Eddie's Hello, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mr mark taylor (talk) 04:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RMT-Site-Full.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RMT-Site-Full.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 11:10, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
