I've removed the mention of a Tagetes species native to Africa as I have been unable to verify this. "African marigolds" are derived from T. erecta, a Mexican species. At least one species (T. minuta, syn. T. glandulifera) grows "wild" in Africa but appears to be an introduced weed. MrDarwin 18:05, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
