Taggart Lake is located in Grand Teton National Park, in the U. S. state of Wyoming.[1] The natural lake is located at the terminus of Avalanche Canyon. A number of hiking trails can be found near the lake including a 3.2 mile (5.15 km) roundtrip hike commencing from the Taggart Lake Trail parking area.[2] The lake is approximately one mile south of Bradley Lake reckoned by trail distance
Taggart Lake is generally considered in good condition relative to eutropication measures even though there is a significant inflow of phosphate from natural phosphoria sources.[3] Turbidity is low and pH levels in taggart Lake have been measured in the alkaline range of about 8.5 to 8.7.[4]
