Tadpole Computer is a manufacturer of rugged (military specification) UNIX workstations and thin client laptops and lightweight servers. Tadpole is based in Cupertino, California.

Tadpole machines currently use either SPARC or x86 processors.
All Tadpole SPARC laptops are sold with Solaris, and their x86 computers with SUSE Linux. Microsoft Windows is optional.
In the past, Tadpole produced a laptop computer with DEC Alpha and PowerPC processors.

In 1998, Tadpole acquired RDI Computer Corporation of Carlsbad, California for $6 million.
In August 2005, Tadpole was acquired by General Dynamics.
