Tada Mitsuyori

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tada Mitsuyori (多田満頼?) (1501-1563) was a retainer beneath the clan of Takeda throughout the latter Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. Mitsuyori was respectively a native from the province of Mino who came to support Takeda Nobutora; and after Shingen's succession to headship, he served under the commandership of Itagaki Nobutaka. It is recorded that Mitsuyori had held the rank of Infranty Captain, retaining this position of authority throughout the course of 29 conflicts encountered, two of which being Sezawa in 1542 and Uehara of 1542. The reasoning behind this is partly defined by Mitsuyori's reputed skill in the art of night warfare, which Takeda Shingen readily put to use within the conflict at Sezawa and other variable battles. Unfortunately, however, Mitsuyori would die by the year of 1563, his cause of death being directly out of coherency to illness.
