Tactel

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A tactel (short for tactile element) is a single sensing point on a tactile sensing array. A tactel is equivalent to a pixel, in that an array of tactels represents an image of the surface being touched.

Tactel is also a trademarked brand of synthetic fiber first introduced in 1983[1] and is produced by Invista.
