Table Mountain is the tallest of peaks so named in the Sierra Nevada of the US state of California. It lies on the Kings-Kern Divide between Mount Brewer and Mount Kaweah, its unusually flat summit rising to 13,627 feet (4,154 m). Its name originated in Clarence King's notes from 1865, and was used in maps as early as 1873.
