Talk:T.N.T. (album)

High Voltage pop?!?!
Well, about half of the songs on there can easily be described as having a pop sound, so yes. (Specifically, "Stick Around," "Sould Stripper," "You Ain't Got A Hold On Me," "Love Song," and arguably "She's Got Balls.") The international version of High Voltage is admittedly very un-poppy, but that was essentially a repackaged version of T.N.T. Thehaikumaster 01:29, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- I totally disagree - most of the album doesn't sound anything like the contemporary pop sound, except for the glam influences. 'Soul Stripper' is a long way from pop, although not as unpoppy as 'She's Got Balls' which is about as unpoppy as anything off "Dirty Deeds". "Love Song" is less rocky because it's a ballad, but it's not commercial. You can't compare it to today's pop - it has to be the pop of the time, which was very unheavy. - I have to admit to being largely unfamiliar with the contemporary pop music of the early-to-mid-'70s, so I'll concede the point. Have removed "pop" from this page and the main Australian High Voltage page. Thehaikumaster 13:17, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Another Edition
Hi there, don't know if this is useful, but "it was never reissued by another label" isn't quite right. In Russia a company called CD Maximum licenses a lot of international albums for Russian release, and they do all of AC/DC's albums up to The Razor's Edge, including the original versions of TNT and High Voltage. They also put two albums on each disc (with no apparent system), so TNT comes with For Those About to Rock, and High Voltage comes with Back in Black. They're not bootlegs (you can check out the company at www.cd-maximum.ru), and they're quite easily available - I got mine dirt cheap on eBay. Cardinal Wurzel 18:36, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reissue Edit
Hello - I had read somewhere that the newly remastered and re-released "T.N.T." CD that came in the most recent AC/DC box set featured the shortened versions of several songs, namely High Voltage, that appeared slightly shorter on the international releases. Can anyone verify this? Kaempfer 18 (talk) 21:16, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
