Strange that there's no Vietnamese term for this, because I thought the concept has been known and shared between cultures formerly using Chinese characters since ancient times? Badagnani 18:32, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- Umani may be translated into Vietnamese as "vị ngọt". The Monosodium glutamate are called "bột ngọt" in Viet Nam. But please note that this ngọt is different from another "ngọt" that means sweet.--Bình Giang 03:13, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
