Szydłów

This article is about a village in Poland. For a small village in Lithuania, currently called Šiluva, see Šiluva.
Szydłów is a large village in southern Poland, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, about 40 km southeast of Kielce.
Town history dates to the 12th century. It gained its city rights in 1329 and lost them in 1869. It has several tourist attractions, including the 16th century Szydłów Synagogue, several buildings and churches dating to the 14th century and ruins of a castle from the same period.
