Talk:Székely autonomy initiatives

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's really good that this article has been created, and I think there is a lot of room for expansion. In fact, it would be great if this were to become a featured article. In terms of structure, I propose that we have the following sections (some of these can be merged):

  • Background - here we outline the traditional autonomy of the Székely seats and of the Hungarian Autonomous Region
  • History - the chronological history of the autonomy movement since the 1990s, with key events
  • Proposals - a discussion of the different proposals for autonomy (the Catalan model, etc)
  • Politics - a discussion of the stances of the different Hungarian parties, as well as the nationwide parties such as the People's Alliance (supportive) or the Democratic Party (opposed)
  • Support - an idea of the level of Székely and Romanian support for these initiatives
  • Constitutional issues - a discussion of the constitutionality of autonomy; preferably, we can find sources that offer two perspectives.

We should also get around to doing an article on the Hungarian Civic Alliance. Ronline 11:11, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Education

The article tell that Hungarian democratic union want "the introduction of Hungarian language History and Geography education in the Hungarian schools". Aren't already fulfilled those demands?--MariusM 05:40, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
