Talk:Syosset High School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"It is seen as a model for other schools around the country." Should that statement be removed? Seems like it uses a weasel term and would violate NPOV. AySz88 03:09, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. Unless it is a direct quote from someone not involved or we can say "Podunk High School and Valley Vole High School have copied Syosset's program structure" or some such, it's just boosterism. -- Cecropia | explains it all ® 03:23, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Where is the source for the notable alumni? --Mboverload 20:48, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Do you mena a source for their notability or a source that they are alumni? It is rare in school articles to require sources for alumni lists unless there is a dispute. -Will Beback 21:14, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Source that they are alumni. It's just that I could add Harrison Ford to the list and no one would know any better. That's just what I'm concerned about. I was going to put citation needed after each of their names, but I thought that was a bit extreme. =) If you want to remove the sources tag as that's fine by me. --Mboverload 21:17, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Harrison Ford attended Maine East High School, or so our article says. The problem of editors adding notable people who were not alumni pales, in my opinion, beside the problem of editors adding alumni who are not notable people. -Will Beback 21:25, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
