Synaptic Buddhism, or xenodharma practice, is a branch of Western Buddhism that seeks to eliminate the superstitions found in other iterations of that religion. Formed by a group of Buddhists who are heavily dedicated to the development of transhumanist technologies. Most of the movement's current effort is in artificial intelligence, as they hope to contribute to the creation of human-level AI so that the life histories of Synaptic Buddhists can be stored within synthetic minds.
