Syed Sultan

Syed Sultan (1550-1648) was a well known Bangladeshi writer and poet during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. His birth place is not known. He was a recident of Patiya village under Chakrashala Chakla in Chittagong. He lived in Laskarpur (Paragalpur), Chittagong for some time.

Sultan’s best known work is Nabibangsha. His literary works were included in the curriculum of school level, secondary, and higher secondary Bengali Literature in Bangladesh.
