[edit] Size of images

Sydenham Edwards was best known for his botanical paintings. To do credit to his work, they need to be thumbnails to the right of the article text - cramming them in a gallery should only be done if there are an abundance of images cluttering the article - that is certainly not the case here. If we expand the article, one or two would be good. The commons page (linked) is ideal for showcasing art, the articles here are text based. That is where the page is lacking, it is woefully short. Given your frank views on other editor's design sense, I am surprised to find you advocating something that forces all that white space. We should explain who he is, why his art is well known &c. and, of couse, give an example of it. Shall we have a poll on the piece to be included? The South african species you chose are good; the flora was very popular with one target audience of the work - english gardeners - so that is a happy coincidence. We can explain that too, in the text or caption. Cygnis insignis 15:09, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
