Given the makeup of the Senate after the Australian Senate election, 1970 (26 Coalition, 26 ALP, 5 DLP, 3 Independent), I don't see how Negus could have "controlled the balance of power". Peter Ballard (talk) 03:22, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
