Sydenham School badge on right along with the other schools in the Hillsyde Federation
Sydenham School is a comprehensive girls' school located in Sydenham, London. The school was founded in 1917 as a girls' grammar school and in 1956 it expanded to become a comprehensive school. In 2003 Sydenham School was granted Specialist School status by the DfES and became a Specialist Science School. Sydenham School has close ties to Forest Hill School a nearby boys comprehensive school.
The current headmistress is Ms Williams.
In the last OFSTED inspection, Sydenham School was graded as 'outstanding'.
