Sycamore Junior High (SJHS) is two year, public junior high school located in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is the only junior high school and only school for 7th and 8th graders in the Sycamore Community School District.

-On May 23, 2008, the 8th grade Boy Choir sang the National Anthlem before a Cincinnati Reds game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
-The Junior High in particular is well known for the high math success in competitions, statewide and nationally. Sycamore Junior High has won the MATHCOUNTS State Competition ( also known as the state) 10 out of the last 11 years.
-In 2008, Clayton Hamre, a student from the Junior High, finished 3rd in Ohio in the Geography Bee, getting a perfect score in the preliminary round, then finishing 3rd at the State Bee.[citation needed]<br /
-Also in 2008, the 7th grade at Sycamore Jr. High finished first in the state of Ohio and second in the nation in the National Language Arts League. The top score in the 7th grade was held by Emma Rogge, who recieved recognition for her extremely high score nationally.
-Also, Sycamore School District has earned eight straight "excellents" from the state of Ohio.

Sycamore School District as a whole, including the Junior High, is known as one the best academic schools in Ohio. The school consists of about 950 seventh- and eighth-graders, ranging in scholastic ability from standards (average) to accelerated (above average). There are also academic classes, which are between the aforementioned.

Sycamore Junior High has the largest amount of junior high sports offered of all the junior highs in Ohio. The school has 39 athletic teams. The Sycamore High School Football Team plays at Sycamore Stadium (Bud Acus Field), which is locate at the Junior High.

Music In the Junior high, you must take at least one quarter of music. The choices are:

The school has an award-winning choral program, with five different choirs at the school that students can participate in; Chorale, 7th and 8th grade Treble Tones, boys and girls Concert Choir, Sycamore Singing Company (audition required, after school), and Boy Choir (no audition, before school). Each year, the choirs go on a choir trip to the Music in the Parks competition, held at one of the major parks in the U.S including Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, New York City and more. This year, Chorale earned a Superior rating, Concert Choir and 8th grade Treble Tones got excellent ratings, the choirs as a whole got Best Junior High choir, and the Sycamore group as a whole got the coveted Esprit d'Corps award, which is the "Spirit of the Core" award and the highest honor that could be received. The Sycamore Junior High Band just recently had the most students from any school in the OMEA district 14 honors band.
